1. Introduction

The Merchandise Sales Plugin is a comprehensive solution for bands and music artists to manage their merchandise sales across multiple tours and events. This plugin allows you to track inventory, record sales, manage tours, and generate reports, all within your WordPress environment.

2. Installation

  1. Download the Merchandise Sales Plugin zip file.
  2. Log in to your WordPress admin panel.
  3. Navigate to Plugins > Add New > Upload Plugin.
  4. Choose the downloaded zip file and click “Install Now”.
  5. After installation, click “Activate Plugin”.

3. Configuration

After activation, you’ll need to set up some basic configuration:

  1. Go to Merchandise Sales > Settings in your WordPress admin menu.
  2. Set your default currency and date format.
  3. Configure email notifications for low stock alerts and sales summaries.
  4. Save your settings.

4. Managing Bands

If you’re managing multiple bands:

  1. Go to Merchandise Sales > Bands.
  2. Click “Add New Band” to create a new band profile.
  3. Fill in the band details and save.
  4. You can edit or delete bands from this page as well.

5. User Management

To manage users for your bands:

  1. Go to Merchandise Sales > Users.
  2. Select the band you want to manage users for.
  3. Click “Add New User” to invite a new team member.
  4. Assign roles (Tour Management or Merch Sales) to users.
  5. You can edit roles or remove users from this page.

6. Tour Management

To manage tours:

  1. Go to Merchandise Sales > Tours.
  2. Click “Add New Tour” to create a new tour.
  3. Fill in tour details including dates, venues, and associated band.
  4. You can edit or delete tours from this page.

7. Merchandise Management

To manage your merchandise inventory:

  1. Go to Merchandise Sales > Merchandise.
  2. Click “Add New Item” to add a new merchandise item.
  3. Fill in item details including name, description, price, and initial stock.
  4. You can update stock levels, edit item details, or delete items from this page.

8. Sales Management

To record and manage sales:

  1. Go to Merchandise Sales > Sales.
  2. Click “Record New Sale” to add a new sale.
  3. Select the items sold, quantities, and associated tour (if applicable).
  4. You can view sales history and edit or void sales from this page.

9. Reporting

To generate and view reports:

  1. Go to Merchandise Sales > Reports.
  2. Select the type of report you want to generate (sales by tour, inventory status, etc.).
  3. Choose the date range and other relevant filters.
  4. Click “Generate Report” to view the results.
  5. You can export reports to CSV for further analysis.

10. Troubleshooting

If you encounter any issues:

  1. Check that your WordPress version is up to date.
  2. Ensure all plugin settings are correctly configured.
  3. Verify that users have the correct permissions assigned.
